About Us!

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) is a professional organization within the interior design profession. The New York School of Interior Design has it's own ASID Student Chapter, a student run organization/club, that focuses on creating networking opportunities for NYSID students to interact and meet design professionals. We arrange off-campus student trips and tours, information panels, on-campus seminars and lectures, charity/volunteer opportunites, and other networking events that allow students to emerge themselves in the professional world before they graduate.

As a student member, one would have access to:

• Leadership opportunities and training

• “Student ASID” appellation

• Career tools, job banks and job fairs

• RealWorld DesignWeek national job shadowing program

• Scholarships

• Awards and competitions

• Networking opportunities
